We are delighted to be supporting the appointment of a Head of Academy at the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad.
Founded in 2011, the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP) to talented students. The Academy is part of the Aga Khan Schools, an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network.
The Academy currently educates approximately 800 students, around two-thirds of whom are Senior School students, half of whom participate in the residential programme, contributing to a diverse and internationally minded learning environment. The campus combines state-of-the-art facilities with a design that reflects and celebrates the local cultural context.
Central to the Academy’s model is the identification and development of students with high potential for leadership. Admission is merit-based and supported by a financial aid programme, ensuring that talented students are able to attend regardless of their financial circumstances. This model is also followed by the day and residential Academies in Mombasa, Kenya; Maputo, Mozambique; and Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The Academy is seeking to appoint a Head of Academy to lead the school, with effect from the start of the 2027–28 academic year. This is a rare and compelling opportunity to lead an established and highly regarded institution, situated on a purpose-built 100-acre campus near Hyderabad. The successful candidate will champion the Academy, engage fully in all aspects of its life, and lead the next phase of its development with clarity, energy, and purpose.
Candidates must demonstrate a deep alignment with the mission of the Academy, the Aga Khan Schools, and the wider Aga Khan Development Network.
